our story
Grace is the combination of strength and soul. Those qualities we were exemplified by our great-grandmother, Rosa Mondavi. Her quick thinking and keen business skills helped keep the family business afloat during prohibition, and she was even able to save enough to move the family from Minnesota out to California. When Cesare passed away in 1959, Rosa led the company – a rarity for a woman in wine at the time. Unafraid of standing up to authority and always looking out for those in need, Rosa was our muse as we brought Aviana from concept to bottle.
